Windows and Siding       Pick Your Color!

West Texans annually experience very high winds and severe weather.  These issues are the reason it is so vital to ensure that your home is safe.  Having great windows and siding can make more of a difference than one may think.  For those tired of severe weather destroying their homes and dust building up on windows from the wind, it is time to give Forster Construction a call. Forster specializes in many types of windows and exterior siding.

Energy Star Rated
If all residential windows in the United States were replaced with ENERGY STAR qualifying vinyl windows, the nation would save $134 billion in energy costs over the next 15 years.  Using new technology in frame materials, glass coatings, design, and gas fills, today's ENERGY STAR qualified vinyl windows, doors, and skylights help achieve significant energy cost savings.  Each year the average household spends more than 40% of its energy on heating and cooling.  With our window lines these bills can be reduced by up to 15%.  These windows save money, and at the same time, make a positive impact on the environment by reducing fuel consumption.

Casement Windows
Our casement windows feature maximized glass area providing an open, clutter-free look.  Our windows easily pass the rigorous air infiltration resistance testing procedure; which means our windows KEEP THE DIRT OUT and maximize an energy efficient home. Our windows provide the protection for your home and will add life to any room. Casement windows are hinged at the sides. Hinged windows such as casements generally have lower air leakage rates than sliding windows from the same manufacturer because the sash closes by pressing against the frame. Casement windows project outward, providing significantly better ventilation than sliders of equal size. Because the sash protrudes from the plane of the wall, it can be controlled to catch passing breezes, but screens must be placed on the interior side. Virtually the entire casement window area can be opened, while sliders are limited to less than half of the window area.

Vinyl Siding
Vinyl siding is an exceptional, high performance panel designed to enhance the beauty, comfort and energy efficiency of any home.  Noted for its traditional wood clapboard appearance, Forster's vinyl siding delivers the warm, quality appearance of wood without costly, time consuming maintenance and repairs. Vinyl won't split, peel or rot like other types of siding will.  Because its color goes clear through the panel, it never needs to be scraped, stained or painted.  This means lower maintenance costs for owners.
U.S. Census Bureau statistics show twice as many homeowners side their homes with vinyl than with any other material.  Vinyl siding is available in a broad palette of colors, profiles, and trims to assist architects, builders, and homeowners in customizing their new construction and renovation designs, and can complement historical restoration projects.  Vinyl provides enduring beauty and design flexibility.  Using a variety of siding and soffit styles, colors, accessories and trim, it is even possible to recreate a Victorian. Moreover, siding consistent with any home's design that fits into the environment and neighboring homes is a simple color match away.  Nothing beats vinyl siding, accessories, and trims for sheer endurance.  Unlike many other siding materials, vinyl is impervious to rain, cold, salt and snow.  And vinyl won't rot, peel, dent or show scratches, nor will it ever need painting. A simple soap-and-water rinse once a year is all that is required to remove dirt and maintain the look of freshly painted wood.
